The African American Arts ALIVE! Brochure a product of a collaboration between The August Wilson Center for African American Culture and The Growing Our Reach Collaborative; a joint effort of the featured organizations to grow audience and impact in the region, and to raise awareness of African Arts in Pittsburgh. It was made possible by the generosity of the Multicultural Arts Initiative, Mellon Financial Corporation, and with support from the August Wilson Center for African American Culture, whose audience development initiatives are supported by The Ford Foundation.
Diversity Revisited: A Reflection
In collaboration with the Association of Performing Arts Presenters, and as a part of the National Performing Arts Convention, the August Wilson Center for African American Culture (formerly the African American Cultural Center) hosted a convening of cultural theorists and specialists to examine the complex issues of cultural diversity in the arts.
